What is Rogers Ranch Neighborhood Coalition?

Our coalition began in 2000 as an informal alliance of local homeowner associations representing Sagewood, Ranch Club Estates, Colony of El Mirador, and Sunrise Racquet Club.
They united in response to a proposed Homeless Drop-In Center at Desert AIDS Project (DAP) property on Sunrise Way. This concerted community effort defeated that proposal. The coalition stayed together to ensure our neighborhood continued to have a high quality of life.
In June 2007 we became an officially recognized City of Palm Springs neighborhood organization, the Sunrise-Vista Chino (SVC) Neighborhood Coalition.
El Mirador later dropped out, but DAP and Weiss Apartments (now named Vista Sunrise Apartments) both chose to join in support of our work to maintain a high-quality neighborhood.
As one of over 40+ neighborhood organizations in our city, we are also part of the city's Office of Neighborhood Involvement (www.palmspringsneighborhoods.com ) and ONE-PS (Organized Neighborhoods of Palm Springs, www.one-ps.org)
